Learning to sail

Tap Learn to Sail on the home screen, or on the sign-in screen if you don't have an account yet. Seven short lessons cover steering, reading the wind, best VMG, slowing down, penalty turns, match-race starts and match-race penalties.

Controls

• Phone and tablet: hold ◀ ▶ (bottom left) to steer, and hold the boat button (bottom right) to slow down. Menu (top left) pauses.
• Computer: A / D to steer, hold Space to slow down, Esc to pause, C for the top-down map.

Reporting and blocking

There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive players, and the Terms of Use say so. In the game you can report a sailor or a race name and block a sailor from the lobby, the friends list, the pause menu and results screen in a race, and Account → Report or Block a Sailor. Blocked sailors are listed under Account → Blocked Sailors.

We act on every report within 24 hours: what breaks the terms is removed and the player who made it is ejected. You can also report by email to russellbolger06@gmail.com.
